Continued education activities within implementation of the project with high schools 10/12/2023 Within the project of cooperation and training of professors and students, aimed at enabling high schools to carry out financial education as optional educational activity, continued education activities with three selected high schools were carried out in the premises of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) on 12 October 2023. Today's education has included in the project professors and selected students in the capacity of peer educators from three high schools: Prva gimnazija Sarajevo (The First Gymnasium Sarajevo), Srednja poslovna škola Sarajevo (Business High School Sarajevo) and Mješovita srednja škola Doboj istok (Combined High School Doboj East). The education was focused on the management of personal finance, learning about basic concepts and features of the most used financial products and services in the market, and information on the importance of responsible approach to financial products and services. Socially responsible operations represent one of the principles of the CBBH operations, and financial literacy of citizens, particularly younger population just starting to learn about financial services and products, is one of the most significant activities carried out by this institution. In formal educational plans, there is no subject where students could learn about basic concepts, features, advantages and disadvantages of some financial products and services. Financial literacy of children and young people is very important and useful, as it represents a good quality base for acquiring knowledge on money management, and skills needed to make daily financial decisions. Only persons with high financial awareness can make rational financial decisions and thus contribute to additional stability of the entire system.
