Cooperation with SOS Children's Villages in the Area of Financial Education and Inclusion Started

8/7/2024

The cooperation with SOS Children's Villages of BH within the activities of financial education and inclusion has started with the first visit of elementary school and high school children to the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH).

Educational activity has been aimed at informing the children about the history of money, our currency convertible mark, and the role of the CBBH in the process of issuing banknotes and coins. Young visitors were very interested in gaining additional knowledge about currency, and the role and functioning of the CBBH, with a focus on the basic differences compared to commercial banks in the country.

After the presentation, the children visited the currency exhibition in the hall of the Head Office of the CBBH, so that they could be informed about all the versions of the convertible mark banknotes issued by today, and their security features.

The CBBH continues its work on improving knowledge and skills of young people, by cooperating with institutions and organisations which strongly contribute to social and economic strengthening of children and young people.
